Комплектация и внешнее исполнение. Гарнитура продаётся в красивой картонной упаковке, оснащённой маленькой ручкой для переноса. Внутри коробки присутствуют: сами наушники JBL Everest 300, шнур для зарядки формата microUSB, стандартный аудиокабель 3,5 мм, руководство пользователя, гарантийная документация, а также буклет Aha Radio. По своему типу эти наушники являются полноразмерными. Они состоят из двух динамиков, окруженных удобными амбушюрами, и оголовья с мягкой подкладкой. Весит данная модель 245 граммов, что в принципе нормально для гарнитуры такого рода. На рынке можно найти сразу три варианта расцветки: белую, чёрную и красную. Буквы JBL нанесены на внешнюю сторону динамиков во всех трёх случаях, правда их цвет напрямую зависит от цвета всего устройства. Так, на белых моделях буквы серебристые, на чёрных — светло-серые, на красных — золотистые. Кстати, внешнее оформление красных наушников наиболее специфическое. Нижняя часть оголовья этих моделей (которая прикладывается непосредственно к голове) имеет чёрный цвет, в то время как в остальных двух случаях оттенок оголовья полностью копирует цвет всего устройства. Чуть выше амбушюр находятся специальные выемки, позволяющие регулировать длину соединительной дужки.

Технические характеристики. Чувствительность беспроводных наушников JBL Everest 300 составляет 100 дБ/1 кГц. Они поддерживают частотный диапазон от 10 до 22 кГц. Динамики модели функционируют на основе 40-миллиметрового драйвера.

Сетевые возможности. Связь со смартфоном обеспечивает поддержка Bluetooth 4.1. Качество сигнала высокое, так что никаких искажений при прослушивании музыки не будет. Кроме того, инженеры реализовали в устройстве функцию ShareMe 2.0, благодаря которой можно устанавливать соединение с другой беспроводной гарнитурой. Above-average for mixed-usage. The JBL Everest Elite 700 have a great set of active features and a sleek yet solid build quality that’s great for everyday use. They isolate well enough for noisy environments and they have an above average sound quality that will satisfy most listeners. They won’t be the ideal headphones for critical listening or sports but overall they perform well enough for most use cases.

Neutral Sound

Better than average for neutral listening. The JBL Everest are tuned to sound as close to the Harman curve. This gives them a great bass that’s not overwhelming and a well-balanced mid-range that caters well to instruments and vocals. However, their treble range is not as good and makes the headphones sound a bit sibilant with some tracks. They don’t output at high enough volumes which may be an issue for some older or quieter music. Their soundstage is also subpar, but due to their closed-back, noise canceling design, it’s to be expected.

Above-average for commuting. They isolate enough for public transit, and they have a decently durable build quality with easy to use controls. However, they’re still a bit bulky so they won’t be the easiest headphones to carry on you at all times.

Decent for sports. The JBL Everest Elite 700 are tight enough to stay on your head when jogging and their wireless design makes them less likely to fall because the audio cable got hooked on something. However, they’re still a bit bulky for intense exercises and they get fairly warm during physical activity which is not ideal.

Wireless Gaming

Mediocre-at-best for gaming. The JBL Everest Elite 700 have a bit too much latency and a mediocre microphone. Also, they’re not the most comfortable headphones to use for long gaming sessions but at least, they come with an audio cable so that you can use them with your console controller. However, if you get the iOS variant, the in-line microphone will only work with PS4.

Operation & Control

The microphone/control of the JBL EVEREST 100 allows you to do the following:

Middle Button:

• A 5 second press and hold: Power On
• A single press: Play, Pause music or Answer calls
• 4 second press and hold while turned ON: Power off
• Double click: Next song
• Triple click: Previous song

Volume UP Button:

A single press: Volume up by 1 level

Volume Down Button:

A single press: Volume down by 1 level

Lateral button:

This 4th button is found in the edge of the mic/remote, is grey colored and is used to set the headphone in pairing mode.

LED Status Light: A led light is very well hidden in the back of the remote and will indicate the status of the headphones. Blink Blue= ON, Red, while charging=Charging.

Bass & Sub Bass

The JBL EVEREST 100 bass provides good mid-bass punch and not much sub-bass. Their looser and not so sealing fit does not help to their sub-bass response. Overall they do not feel anemic or thin at all but it is fair to be aware of the lack of sub-bass if this is what you were expecting. Apart from that, their bass gives warmth and some punch.

Applying an EQ, mid-bass becomes much punchier and sub-bass gets stronger reaching a much more improved depth.

Mids & Vocals

The JBL EVEREST 100 mids have clear enough lower vocals but can sound somewhat distant, mid-bass bleed is almost absent and not invasive. Higher mids are crisp but not forward nor overdone; usually there are no harsh peaks.

With an EQ there is a groundbreaking change, with highly crispier upper mids and much more alive lower vocals.

Highs & Treble

The JBL EVEREST 100 highs are sufficiently bright and resolve a good amount of detail (for normal listening sessions). Piercing highs are not present and sibilance is merely perceivable when extreme peaks arise.

An EQ makes their highs much more detailed and brighter with no piercing highs but stronger sibilance.

Compared to other headphones

The JBL Everest Elite 700 are good mixed usage headphones. They’re versatile enough for most environments, thanks to their strong noise cancellation and the great customization options available through the app. This makes them good for commuting and traveling. Thanks to their low leakage, they’re also a good option for the office. Unfortunately, they’re a bit tight on the head and a little bulky. They also do not have quite an as balanced sound as the AKG N700NC which is a similarly designed headset under the Harman umbrella however the Everest do isolate better in noisy conditions. Нам удалось протестировать JBL Everest Elite 700 во время четырёх перелётов. Они слетали в Лондон, Лас-Вегас, Владивосток и Краснодар. Разные дистанции, разные типы самолётов, разный уровень шума в салонах. В частности, во время перелёта из Лас-Вегаса соседями оказалась семья с тремя малолетними детьми, плакавшими по очереди практически весь 12-часовой перелёт. Активный шумодав JBL Everest Elite 700 и звукоизоляция отлично справились со своей работой, и весь полёт удалось проспать без каких-либо проблем

Немаловажно и то, что изоляция эта двусторонняя, и когда я начинал слушать музыку или смотреть кино, то слушал это всё только я. Наружу ничего не играло и соседей не раздражало

Порадовало и время автономной работы — свыше 13 часов со включённым ANC. Что же до использованных технологий, то шумодав хорош, приятно удивила и TruNote, позволяющая настроить звучание под конкретные уши с учётом анатомических особенностей. Весьма достойно они проявили себя и в качестве банальной гарнитуры: не возникло проблем с разговорами по телефону — меня было неплохо слышно, собеседника же было слышно просто прекрасно

Но важно не забывать, что здесь для записи звука используются обычные микрофоны, а не системы снятия голоса через кости черепа вроде той, что мы не так давно видели в Sony Xperia Ear, так что ветер и прочие внешние шумы будут сказываться и в микрофон будет задувать

Цена JBL Everest Elite 700 свыше 20 тысяч рублей, но наушники безусловно стоят этих денег. Хороший звук и комфорт никогда не обходились дёшево.
