GolemEdit
Main article: Golem
ice Golem
The Golem is another elemental creature. It lives underground, and only its arms and its head can be seen above ground. The Golem has two types- Ice and Rock Golems. Ice Golems cause Ice damage, while Rock Golems cause Knockback. Golems have two attacks:
- Arm Slam- The Golem will lean forward and then slam his arms down on top of your Patapons. It can be avoided to some affect with the PonPata song, but it is best to use Charge Defense.
- Elemental Barf- The Golem leans backwards and then shoots either icicles or boulders out of its mouth. Avoid with PonPata or DonChaka.
Golems will often tunnel underground after they attack. They will move either farther away or closer to your Patapons. Golems are invulnerable while underground. Destrobo’s charge attack is effective against Golems.
Mogyu > Mogyuun > MogyugyuEdit
Mogyus are pure max.damage units.
Evolve from MOFU and KANNOKO. Third type of Ultimate Rarepon.
These Rarepons have very good attack power, HP, and they have no elemental weaknesses. They are slow in movement and attack speed, however. Useful especially when evolved as Dekapons.

Huntable AnimalsEdit
Main article: Huntable Animals
Motsitsi
There are only three Huntable Animals in all of Patapon 3 because of the removal of the Hunting Missions. The animals are:
- Mochichi- This round, black, flightless bird is a cousin of the Mochichichi. Found only on the Patapon Training Grounds, it will spit out three boulders and then run away.
- Motsitsi- A golden version of the Mochichi. Found rarely on the Patapon Training Grounds.
- Uji- A black and red shark that swims within the Earth. Only its fin is visible above the ground ussually, until it prepares to attack or is killed. Found only in the missions Man-eating Shark of Nuchara Swamp and Bonedeth Brigade in Tahi-Tahi Forest, it will raise its head above water, yell, charge, and then jump up and devour your Patapons. Once they are out of the water, they are completely incapacitated, but will become violent if they are allowed to jump back into the ground.
When killed, these creatures usually yield ka-ching or treasure chests. The first time a Motsitsi is killed it drops a Key.
SalamandersEdit
- Main article: Snow Salamander
- Main article: Lava Salamander
A Snow Salamander.
Salamanders are large, two-legged elemental creatures. Their are two types of Salamander- Ice and Lava. Ice Salamanders cause Ice damaged and freeze your Patapons, while Lava Salamanders cause Fire damage and set your Patapons (and surrounding grass and Treants) on fire. Salamanders have only two attacks:
-
Elemental Release- The Salamander will rear back, and then swing its head forward and release either freezing snowflakes or burning flames (depending on its type). This can be avoided with the PonPata or DonDon songs, and
Lava Salamanders
can be defended against with the ChakaChaka song. Yet Very, very rarely will it ever do the opposite (A flame salamander freezes a patapon and an ice salamander sets patapons on fire)
- Self-Destruct- After its health drops to zero, the Salamander will roar and slowly charge up. When this happens, DO NOT ADVANCE. After three measures, the Salamander will explode with deadly and possibly game-ending force. Avoid with the PonPata if you are close to the Salamander. If you think you are far enough away, just use the DonChaka or PonChaka songs so that you don’t advance. This attack is more dangerous the larger the salamander, therefore quick, clean blow is recommended to maximize the safety of your party.
Salamanders are very dangerous, as they can easily freeze or burn poorly defended Patapons who attempt to use melee atacks.

MegaponEdit
-
Main article: Megapon
Megapon
Megapons are by far the oddest unit in the games. They are taller than most other Patapons, and carry around massive horns. They appear to smile all the time, even when enemies are around, and even as they die. They frown when you miss a beat or when they fall asleep/catch fire. When they attack, they play their horns and the soundwaves/sonic balls that are projected take on physical form, flying at the enemy and causing damage. Megapons have a variety of attacks, but the three most utilized are a wave of 3 blue notes that bounce off of and around the enemy, causing ricochet damage, a massive red note only used during Fever Mode that pierces and hits multiple times, causing massive damage, and a giant green note that is only used when you use PonChaka~ChakaChaka. In Patapon 3, Wondabarappa and Jamsch fire sonic balls instead of notes. Wondabarappa’s PonChaka~PonPon attack is a bladed sonic ball that pierces through anything. Jamsch’s PonChaka~PonPon attack are several large, crawling sonic balls that will burn, poison or put anything to sleep upon contact. A full Megapon squad consists of 3 Megapons. In Patapon 3, Megapons are the classes Wondabarappa and Jamsch. Unlike most Patapon units, their name has no Japanese origin, but is instead a pun of «megaphone».
Attack BonusesEdit
An attack bonus is how much damage you do to certain types of enemies or buildings. The higher the better as 250% means you do 250% damage to that type of enemy.

Uberhero Mode: Fear Spear
- «Throw powerful glowing spears that explode upon landing. Explosions inflict damage over a wide range.»
- Activate:
- Combo:
During Fear Spear, Yarida relentlessly launches spears towards his opponents, only limited by his attack speed. Similar to the Yaripon Hero’s Iron Fist in Patapon 2, the spears will cause a damaging explosion on contact, though Yarida’s explosions have a considerably smaller blast radius. When Piekron’s Class Skills, Leaping Spear and Spear BOOM, have been unlocked, Yarida will jump before each throw, as well as causing lighting to strike where the spears land, given that it is raining.
Upon activation, Yarida will shout, «Ya-ri!» (Meaning «Spear» in Japanese, referencing his weapon.)
TriviaEdit
- Oddly enough, there is no minigame that rewards . To obtain Seeds, you need to fight Shookle or Shooshookle (Shooshookle is only in the Patagate) or hunt Gancheeks in «The Mystery of Smokestorms in the Desert».
- The first time you play Rah Gashapon & Simmer Slurp, the pot says that his name is «Guggu Peron», but in the tutorial, it mentions «Simmer Slurp».
- Ton Kampon & Fwoosh Famooze is the only minigame where you will get kicked out, if you Press the Circle Button, when Fwoosh Famooze is tempering, or is preparing to go Faster/Slower.
- Ton Kampon & Fwoosh Famooze is the only minigame where you require Ka-ching, and a Metal, at the same time to play.
- Tsun Tsukupon & Juice Machine is the only minigame where the thing rewarding the Materials, doesn’t have a name.
- Tsun Tsukupon & Juice Machine minigame is the only minigame that uses two buttons (O(Circle.) and □(Square.).).
- Tsun Tsukupon & Juice Machine minigame is the only minigame that doesn’t continue further, if you miss too many beats.
- The Tsun Tsukupon brothers, are the only Patapons among the other minigames that refer to Almighty as «Mighty «. The other Patapons refer to Almighty as «Great «.
- If you’re ever stuck on a minigame, practice makes perfect! You can save before playing a minigame, and if you ever mess up, you can just load the save file to try again.—However, Saving After the Mess Up, means that All Effects from the Minigames, are Saved; Ka-ching & Materials are used, And/Or your rewards aren’t the ones you may want/need. Saving in Another File, weather Empty or Not, is Still at least good.
- In the Manual of Patapon 2, Minigame Characters were also called, «Patapookas». (A Single Minigame Character, is also called a «Patapooka».)
- During Kururu Beruru’s minigame, when she is dancing by herself as a break for the player, her hair does not sync up with her body.
Uberhero Mode: Concentrate
- «Long-lasting boost for attack power of entire team. Use combo to boost effect. ~ Combines with other hero skills ~ «
Activate:
Combo:
During Concentrate, Piekron will meditate intensely, bolstering all allied damage, including his own, for a short period of time. Piekron becomes completely immobile while this is active. The longer Piekron meditates, the higher the attack multiplier increases, maxing out at 2x damage. With Charibasa’s Set Skills, Team Aid 1 and 2, this multiplier can be further increased to 3.5x damage. Reactivating Concentration will reset the multiplier and timer. Concentrates damage boost stacks with other Piekrons.
Dark HeroesEdit
Dark Heroes
Main article:
Dark Heroes
Dark Heroes have the same structure and wear masks similar to the Uberhero. They are a lot stronger than a regular enemy and are able to go into ‘Dark Hero Mode’. They include Madfang Ragewolf, Naughtyfins, Standoffish Sonarchy, RottenLee Ravenous, Gluttonous Buzzcrave, Slow-moving Slogturtle and Miss Covet-Hiss. They are counter-parts of your Uberhero Patapon.
All of the Dark Heroes have a past relating to the Patapons. Madfang Ragewolf is supposedly Makoton, the Zigoton warrior. Naughtyfins is actually the Patapon Princess. RottenLee Ravenous is actually the mighty Zigoton general, Gong the Hawkeye. Standoffish Sonarchy, Gluttonous Buzzcrave, Slogturtle, and Miss Covet-Hiss are all members of the Ah-Ooh Dynasty. Sonarchy was the Prince, Buzzcrave and Slogturtle were generals, and Miss Covet-Hiss was the King.

Patapon 3Edit
Patapon Princess wearing The Mask of Lust (Naughtyfins)
The Princess also makes an appearance in Patapon 3, but this is unknown until you progress through the story and find out that Naughtyfins is the Patapon Princess. She is affiliated with the Archfiend of Purity and represents the Deadly Sin of Lust. She shows affection for the Uberhero early in the game and passes herself off as a vulnerable, sensitive young lady. In-game, she can be seen poledancing on her pike regularly in cutscenes.
After defeating the Archfiend of Adamance and passing the Evilmass of Adamance, the Uberhero confronts her and, after realizing her , he embraces her, reverting her back to her previous form. She then lives with the Uberhero and his army in the Hideout, where she stays at the right side of the Herogate, and will see the Uberhero off or welcome him back from another person’s hideout when he enters or exits it.
Patapon Princess in the Hideout
However, this will only occur if the player chooses all the answers that pertain to her in previous cutscenes (1st options excluding the first option set in which you must choose the second option) — if the player chooses the other options, she leaves forever. However, Ragewolf will tell you that you can save her in other worlds, which he is referring to the Herogate. If you save the Princess in another world, then the Princess will come to your Hideout and live with the Uberhero.
NormalEdit
Normal units have ability to wear Helms.
These Patapons are the only Patapons capable of wearing helms. They are the basic unit, and they must be created before you can get Rarepons (unless you have imported Patapon 1 data).
NormalMegapons,Mahopons, andDekapons cannot wear helms. Unlike normal Patapons, normal Megapons, Mahopons, and Dekapons change their appearance after leveling up.

TriviaEdit
- The three Yaripons that you come across at the beginning of the first and second games also are the same ones that appear at the ending of each game. In Patapon 3, Silver Hoshipon turns them into Yarida, Taterazay and Yumiyacha. It is possible that those 3 Yaripons were the same Yaripons that Hatapon recruited in the other two games.
- If you notice in Patapon 3, Silver Hoshipon says the name of the Ancient Yaripon known as Gan. This Yaripon is never seen in the games, though.
- Hero in Patapon 2 starts as a Yaripon.
- Yaripon(if in Fever Mode), will need to jump again and again if he is to attack varying with his Attack Speed.
- Yaripon spears are also affected by the wind, like arrows and spores, but the range difference is minor.
- If the enemy is too close, a Yaripon may be unable to throw a spear directly at them. ChakaChaka will help this situation.
- In Patapon 3, Yaripon is the most common Uberhero (Yarida, Piekron, Wooyari and if counting the Darkhero, Naughtyfins) in the game.

Komu and Computer TateponsEdit
- : Heroes come back with full strength no matter how many times they fall… if you ask this romantic, he’d say this is the «Power of Love».
- : Very gentle and powerful too! And his endurance is legendary! But he hates uncivilized discourse… so he won’t be doing much attacking.
- : The horseman Pat-Pon-calypse, his fatal strength and bravery is feared by many! Sadly, he’s not the brightest of bulbs.
- General Gong the Hawkeye: He is a Pseudo-Tateton (wielding a scythe instead of a sword) and serves under Queen Kharma as one of the Zigoton Generals. However, he has no shield unlike other Tatepons or Tatetons.

Elite UnitsEdit
Elite Units are first obtainable in Patapon 2, and two of them are available in different classes in Patapon 3.
ToriponEdit
- Main article: Toripon
Toripon
A bird-riding Patapon. They use javelins, much like theYaripons’ spears. Their attacks are similar to Yaripons’. During fever, they throw three javelins when attacking. They provide excellent air support and as long as you keep the rhythm going, they cannot be affected by melee attacks. They are extremely effective units when fighting bosses with no air attacks, like Garuru. Also, they are great when facing Karmen fortresses — as long as you can keep the enemy Yarimen and Yumimen busy. A full Toripon squad consists of 3 Toripons. «Tori» (鳥) means «bird» in Japanese. Toripons appear on the cover of Patapon, but were never released in-game. They are used only in Patapon 2, and are not included in Patapon 3.
RoboponEdit
- Main article: Robopon
Robopon
Robopons are powerful robotic melee units that fight with their extraordinarily large robotic arms. They can do relatively high damage, and have decent defense but can take damage. If using PonChaka~PonPon, they will throw big rocks. Each Robopon will throw 1 rock. A full Robopon squad consists of 3 Robopons. Robopons are one of the most powerful units. In Patapon 3, Robopons are the classes Destrobo and Bowmunk. Like Megapons, «robo» has no Japanese meaning. Instead it is originated from the word «robot», which explains their robotic arms.
Mahopon Edit
- Main article: Mahopon
Mahopon
The Patapon tribe’s spellcasters. They wields a variety of staffs or scepters and wears boots. Mahopons are frail, but are able to perform a variety of duties for the team. Unlike most Patapon units, the Mahopons’ abilities change depending on what staff they currently wield. A full Mahopon squad consists of 3 Mahopons. There are approximately 11 Mahopon magic spells with a wide variety of effects, like: restoring HP; cure status effects, boosting defenses, causing explosions, fire or thunderstorms, summoning hails of meteors, etc. In Patapon 3, Mahopons are the classes Oohoroc and Pingrek. «Maho» (魔) means «spell» in Japanese.
